Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Woking. As a senior medical specialist, you will provide psychiatric care to patients on our 10-bed female mental health PICU service, Acorn Ward.
Main Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to GMC standards
- Assess referrals, conduct mental state examinations, and develop treatment plans
- Participate in ward rounds, clinical audits, and risk management initiatives
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers hearings
- Fully GMC registered and MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
- Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12 and AC Status
- Experience in adult psychiatry and mental health diagnosis
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continued professional development
