About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Head of Estates to join our dedicated team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operational estates service provided to both internal and external clients.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of skilled professionals in delivering comprehensive estates services.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all building systems, infrastructure, and facilities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to meet their specific needs and requirements.
  • Monitor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar role within an estates or facilities management environment, preferably within the public sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices in facilities management.
