About the Role:

This is a temporary position, with the option to become permanent in the future. The successful candidate will work closely with the school's staff to provide support to children with autism, ensuring they receive the best possible education and care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to children with autism, promoting their engagement and participation in all sessions.
  • Assist with personal care tasks as needed, maintaining a high level of dignity and respect for the children.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage challenging behavior, working closely with the school's staff to ensure a consistent approach.
  • Participate in relevant training and courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS and registration with the Education Workforce Council.
  • Strong understanding of autism and its impact on children's development.
