Business Development Trainee Opportunity

Bridgewater Resources UK Ltd is seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join their comprehensive graduate programme as a Business Development Trainee. This exciting opportunity is designed to cultivate the next generation of sales leaders and managers.

Graduate Training Programme

The first six months of the programme will focus on developing a core knowledge of how the business operates, including warehouse management, logistics, supply chain management, administration, IT software, and marketing. You will gain hands-on experience with the vast product range and learn about different manufacturers and the electrical distribution industry.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company's operations and products.
  • Build relationships with customers, including electricians, contractors, and tradespeople.
  • Begin your formal sales training course, staying overnight with other Graduate Trainees from across the company.
  • Complete workbook assessments to underpin your learning and development and receive financial incentives for each one passed to a required standard.

6-12 Months

During this period, you will move to internal sales account management, engaging with business customers over the phone, including construction companies, local government authorities, housing developers, and hotels. You will learn business development strategies and how to target and win new trading accounts.

12 Months and Beyond

As you progress, you will move into a diverse business-to-business field sales management position, with increased earning potential and bigger bonuses. You will travel locally in your company car, meeting clients, discussing projects, and arranging social activities.
