Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Property Risk Engineer to join our specialist team at Aston Charles, a leading global insurance broker. As a Trainee Property Risk Engineer, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating risks for our clients, working closely with our Broking Teams to secure comprehensive cover at competitive premiums.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for graduates from a range of Engineering disciplines to develop their skills and knowledge in the dynamic and fast-paced world of corporate insurance. As a Trainee Property Risk Engineer, you will:

  • Undertake site surveys and audits for a variety of businesses to identify potential risks and develop recommendations for mitigation.
  • Produce reports on site risks and existing control measures, supplemented by your own risk recommendations and reviews of those provided by insurers and third parties.
  • Work closely with our Broking Teams to secure comprehensive cover at competitive premiums.
  • Have the opportunity to help account manage some of our clients, developing your business acumen and stakeholder-management skills.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Several years' experience working in industry post-university, developing your business acumen and honing your communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A natural curiosity and ability to develop a sound understanding of your clients' businesses and the risks they face.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce accurate and informative reports.
