Chief Editor - Top of the Funnel

DAZN is seeking a highly skilled Chief Editor to lead the development of its Top of the Funnel (TOTF) strategy. As a key member of the content team, you will be responsible for creating engaging sports content that drives brand awareness, loyalty, and retention.

The ideal candidate will have a strong editorial background, with experience working in sports broadcast and commercial environments. You will be responsible for implementing the TOTF strategy, ensuring all customer-facing channels and content are editorially and commercially aligned with TOTF objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing the TOTF strategy to make the DAZN app the ultimate sports destination product
  • Ensuring all customer-facing channels and content are editorially and commercially aligned with TOTF objectives
  • Working with global platform teams to align on TOTF strategy and assist in implementing the approach
  • Driving the DAZN News strategy to improve acquisition and engagement
  • Collaborating with Rights Acquisition to ensure new content is considered and presented to all authorized and unauthorized users across platforms
  • Running weekly and monthly schedules on Free to Air events to enable Marketing and CRM strategy around promotion of these live events
  • Running analytics across engagement to drive strategy

Requirements include:

  • Strong editorial background and experience working in sports broadcast and commercial environments
  • Editorial and commercial experience working in sports broadcast
  • Experience presenting to senior leads in the business with data-backed insights
  • Experience using Business Intelligence software, including Tableau and Looker
  • Experience running OTT output
  • Extremely strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong eye for engaging imagery and headlines
