Job Title: Solar Operations and Maintenance Technician

Recurrent Energy is a leading solar operations and maintenance company in the UK, and we are seeking a skilled Solar Operations and Maintenance Technician to join our team.

As a Solar Operations and Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for providing preventative and corrective site maintenance across our O&M portfolio, as well as supporting the team with new build integration duties.

You will work closely with our team to ensure that all electrical work is carried out in accordance with industry standards and good Health and Safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Health and Safety and quality on new sites
  • Work to a planned maintenance schedule
  • Respond to breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Diagnose faults and inspect work in progress and upon completion
  • Repair equipment when necessary and inspect work for satisfactory performance
  • Participate in on-the-job training for colleagues
  • Review stock levels and request specialist components as required
  • Ensure compliance with company Health and Safety policy
  • Recommend improvements and modifications
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Document work undertaken and provide a daily activity report
  • Recognize issues and assess risks, and review findings with management
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years solar O&M experience
  • Site supervisory experience
  • 18th edition qualification
  • Level 3 electrical qualification
  • HV Authorised Person preferred but not essential
  • Experience with central and string inverter manufacturers preferred
  • Knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulation Standards and DC Electrical systems
  • Ability to understand site drawings and SLDs
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with emergency situations
  • Hardworking, reliable, and flexible

Location: Devon. This is a site-based position with the expectation to travel to client sites nationally as required.
