The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-driven, and highly organized professional with exceptional communication abilities, tasked with overseeing our current team of appointment coordinators.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the administrative team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clerical services.
Applicants must possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, manage challenging situations, and work collaboratively within a team. Experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate booking arrangements, adhering to established protocols for all modalities and locations for both routine and complex procedures within the radiology department, while staying updated on any changes.
- Supervise the administration team, ensuring the provision of high-quality clerical services.
- Input patient information accurately, coordinating data from various systems including ICE, IPM, PENS, and the Radiology Information System (RIS), while managing multiple systems simultaneously.
- Provide a professional and empathetic service to patients, ensuring a positive experience even in challenging situations.
- Manage and monitor waiting lists for all imaging modalities, ensuring compliance with established pathways and promptly reporting any breaches to the appropriate manager.
- Prioritize personal workload effectively, especially in situations requiring urgent appointment arrangements or rescheduling.
- Recognize the importance of deadlines and structure work practices to meet them.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications.
