Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in Cheltenham. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a diverse client portfolio, monitoring commercial aspects, and ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met.

About the Role
  • Manage a diverse client portfolio, monitoring commercial aspects and ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and well-informed tax advice.
  • Support business development by attending prospective meetings, quoting for services, and encouraging skill sharing amongst the wider firm.
  • Assist management with distributing workload across the department.
  • Mentor junior team members, assist with workflow management, quality control, and provide training.
  • Nurture trusted client relationships, proactively handle queries, and problem-solve.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest tax knowledge and changes in the industry.

Requirements
  • ATT and/or CTA qualified with proven experience within UK practice.
  • Qualified by experience within UK practice would also be considered.
  • Sound knowledge across corporate taxation.
  • Supervisory experience with good people management skills.
  • Self-motivated, professional, and reliable.
  • Eager to progress and learn from an experienced team.
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
