Role Overview: Reporting to the Group Client Director, the Client Director will spearhead the formulation and execution of strategic account plans aimed at maximizing returns for our esteemed client portfolio. As we enhance our presence in the retail media landscape, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth by cultivating senior relationships, identifying opportunities, and managing risks to meet commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Development:
    • Design and implement strategic account plans aligned with business goals and category targets.
    • Gain in-depth knowledge of client operations to identify and capitalize on opportunities while mitigating potential risks.
    • Promote a 'customer-first' culture within the team.
    • Lead both your direct and extended teams to exceed client expectations and positively address challenges.
    • Utilize existing networks and proactively establish senior contact strategies to foster relationships and drive growth, with a focus on expanding our digital reach.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to assess new market opportunities relevant to Nectar360 and its key FMCG clients.
  • Insight-Driven Communication:
    • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Sainsbury's overarching business and category strategies to uncover revenue-generating opportunities for clients.
    • Lead insight-sharing initiatives across teams and client organizations.
    • Continuously evaluate brand performance to establish credibility and proactively identify opportunities to achieve targets.
    • Possess a strong grasp of customer data application for driving business growth.
  • Commercial Management:
    • Develop a thorough understanding of Nectar360's capabilities to effectively manage client relationships and deliver profitable solutions.
    • Ensure the successful execution of all Nectar360 activities within client budgets and timelines.
    • Maintain a focus on flawless execution to delight clients and minimize compliance challenges.
    • Oversee contract negotiations and annual media/insight plans.
  • Team Development:
    • Ensure each team member has a tailored development plan to support their growth and succession.
    • Manage performance reviews in a timely manner.
    • Provide coaching and training to both immediate and virtual teams.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Achieve annual budgets across a diverse client base.
    • Ensure accurate pipeline management and reporting of business performance against targets.
    • Optimize financial management related to billing, purchase orders, and debt recovery.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in account management or business development within an agency, consultancy, or FMCG setting.
  • Familiarity with insight tools and targeted communications, particularly in retail.
  • Preferred background in digital marketing and media evaluation.
  • Extensive experience in team leadership.
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and presentation skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage with clients at senior levels and demonstrate strong negotiation skills.
  • Experience in achieving targets across multiple channels and managing financials effectively.
  • High energy, proactive, and a collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
