About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Nurse - Quality Assurance. This is a permanent Band 8a post working 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective operational leadership and management to Children's Public Health Nursing within Hywel Dda University Health Board.
- Support the Head of Health Visiting & Early Year's Senior Nurse and Children's Public Health Nursing within the Women and Children Directorate.
- Develop a robust infrastructure ensuring professional and clinical governance standards are met, in line with the Healthy Child Wales Programme.
- Manage and monitor resources within their area and within a defined budget.
- Contribute to the corporate agenda.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse/Midwife.
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
- Education to Masters level in a healthcare-related subject or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of ongoing dynamic continuing professional development within the speciality linked to demonstrable clinical competencies.
- Evidence of dynamic CPD to postgraduate diploma level.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- RCN Leadership course or equivalent.
- NHS experience at managerial level incorporating strategic and operational management of Children's Public Health Nursing services.
- Awareness of up to date with NHS agenda, Public Health priorities, national directives and all governance aspects of healthcare.
- Proven track record of undertaking and completing significant projects.
Language Requirements
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. If you do not meet the Welsh Language requirements specified, the Health Board offers a variety of learning options and staff support to help you meet these minimal desirable requirements during the course of your employment with us.
