Transformative Leadership Opportunity in Research and Development Statistics

GSK is seeking a visionary leader to drive statistical innovation and excellence in our Research and Development function. As Vice President, Asset Management, you will be responsible for shaping the future of our Research & MDS Statistics function and transforming the way we use quantitative thinking to drive decision-making in R&D.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a world-class team and make a meaningful impact on the development of new medicines and treatments. You will be accountable for providing senior leadership, vision, and direction to our Research Tech, MDS, and Research Units teams, ensuring they have the statistical support they need to deliver their key objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain organizational models to optimize resourcing of the RMS portfolio of work.
  • Provide senior leadership and direction to the RMS groups, developing a strong leadership team who can influence statistical thinking, experimental design, inference, and decision-making.
  • Satisfy in vivo regulatory obligations across Pharma R&D, ViiV, and Galvani.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Statistics.
  • Experience across the component functional groups within Research Tech, the Research Units, and MDS.
  • Technical experience in preclinical statistics, including research and CMC, and early phase/translational clinical development.
  • An international reputation in basic and/or applied statistical methodology, with a publication record in scientific journals.
  • Management experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology and/or academia.
  • Experience managing and/or implementing change projects with a record of achievement.
