BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated Site Technician to contribute to our mission of sustainability. This role involves working standard hours, Monday to Friday, under a flexible working policy.

Your Responsibilities


• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance and ensure all related documentation is completed accurately.

• Address Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, including the necessary paperwork.

• Collaborate with team members as needed or as directed by the Facilities Manager.

• Ensure all tasks are performed within the agreed contractual timelines.

• Actively work to minimize energy consumption on-site.

• Supervise visiting subcontractors to ensure compliance with work standards and Health and Safety regulations.

• Perform all duties in alignment with company policies and procedures.

• Accurately complete all work-related documentation in a timely manner.

• Regularly assess progress requests and communicate any issues or delays to the Supervisor or contact center.

• Strive to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction through prompt responses and completion rates.

• Develop and manage ongoing maintenance programs.

• Ensure the safe and secure storage of spare parts, materials, tools, and consumables.

• Provide technical assistance to colleagues when requested.

• Conduct daily monitoring and inspection of subcontractor work.

• Manage and control the Building Management System (BMS) where applicable.

• Undertake any additional duties as discussed and agreed upon.

• Oversee service management in accordance with contract specifications, utilizing best commercial and industry practices.

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental regulations, adhering to all legislation and BAM FM policies.

• Maintain accurate records in line with legislative and BAM FM requirements.

• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by BAM FM.

• Carry out work safely and diligently.

• Ensure comprehensive records are created and maintained for statutory testing, inspections, and documentation.

Who We Are Looking For


• Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting across various equipment types, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

• Familiarity with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), service targets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to anticipate, diagnose, and resolve faults effectively.

• Proficient in completing essential paperwork accurately and promptly.

• Good IT proficiency.

• Excellent customer service abilities.

• Experience working at a high level in one or more specific trade disciplines.

• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Initiative-driven with the ability to work proactively.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Capability to meet deadlines consistently.

• Experience in an educational environment is advantageous.

• Valid UK driver's license.

• Compliance with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (PVG) is applicable for this role.

Desirable qualifications include:

• PASMA Certification.

• MEWP Certification.

• Electrical qualifications.

• Legionella Training.

• First Aid Training.
