BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated Site Technician to contribute to our mission of creating a sustainable tomorrow. This role involves working within a flexible schedule, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.

Your Responsibilities


• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance and maintain accurate documentation

• Address Reactive and emergency breakdowns while ensuring all paperwork is completed

• Collaborate with team members and assist the Facilities Manager as needed

• Ensure timely completion of all tasks in line with contractual obligations

• Actively work to minimize energy consumption on-site

• Supervise subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards

• Adhere to company policies and procedures in all tasks

• Accurately complete all work-related documentation

• Regularly assess progress and communicate any issues to the Supervisor

• Strive for high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt responses and completion rates

• Develop and manage routine maintenance programs

• Safeguard the storage of spare parts, materials, tools, and consumables

• Provide technical assistance to colleagues when required

• Monitor and inspect subcontractor work on a daily basis

• Manage the Building Management System (BMS) where applicable

• Undertake additional duties as discussed and agreed upon

• Ensure services are managed according to contract specifications, employing best practices

• Uphold Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations and BAM policies

• Maintain up-to-date records in line with legislative and BAM requirements

• Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by BAM

• Conduct work safely and diligently

• Ensure detailed records are created and maintained for statutory testing and inspections.

Candidate Profile


• Proven experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, including troubleshooting on various equipment such as HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems

• Familiarity with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to diagnose and repair faults effectively

• Competent in completing essential paperwork accurately and promptly

• Proficient IT skills

• Excellent customer service capabilities

• Experience in specialized trade disciplines

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Initiative-driven with strong interpersonal skills

• Capacity to meet deadlines

• Experience in educational settings is a plus

• Valid UK driver's license

• Compliance with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (PVG) is required for this role
Desirable qualifications include:

• PASMA Certification

• MEWP Certification

• Electrical qualifications

• Legionella Training

• First Aid Training
