Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in West Yorkshire. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting reactive maintenance and performing preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical machinery, high-pressure boilers, pumps, valves, and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform reactive maintenance tasks on mechanical machinery, including gears, motors, conveyors, and bearings.
  2. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks, including PPM, to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  3. Work collaboratively with production staff and shift supervisors to resolve maintenance issues.

Requirements:

  1. Mechanical engineering apprenticeship time served or qualified to NVQ L3.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
