Position Overview: The Social Work Administration Team provides essential administrative assistance to frontline Social Work units within the Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership. We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Administrative Support Specialist to join our Adult Care area team.

Role Responsibilities: As a vital member of the local administrative team, you will deliver high-quality support to the Social Work Community team, which encompasses various services including mental health, home care, care homes, adult protection, and disability services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking minutes and providing meeting support
  • Managing office reception duties
  • Overseeing team email inquiries
  • Processing invoices and purchase orders
  • Updating electronic records for service users

Candidate Requirements: To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A solid educational background
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in office administration
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and data protection
  • Completion of an internal system check to access Social Work databases, with a potential requirement for a PVG check for regular contact with community adults.
