Digital Safety Specialist

Job Summary:

Systems Engineering and Assessment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer to join our expanding Defence Portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing safety management plans and safety case reports in accordance with MoD Military Standard (Def-Stan or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage safety management plans and safety case reports for SEA products.
  • Utilise recognised safety methods, technology, and tools to explore all aspects of safety management through the design lifecycle.
  • Liaise with internal and external customers on design factors and work closely with Engineers from System, Electronic, Software, and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Produce clear and concise technical safety documentation.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure company awareness of the latest safety practices in industry and the MoD.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working in a safety management environment, ideally with an MoD background or experience of working in the MoD domain.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance and have a full driving licence.
  • SSMO Qualified or similar training would be a bonus.
