The role involves collaboration with the design team to assess design data and formulate compliance policies.

Job Title: Compliance Engineer
Job Type: Permanent/Full-time
Location: Flexible with travel to various sites
Hours: 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct DSEAR inspections.
- Coordinate compliance initiatives by developing schedules, budget estimates, and identifying required resources.
- Assist clients in achieving compliance by diagnosing and addressing compliance challenges, and suggesting suitable product or process modifications to promote best practices and ongoing improvements.
- Document compliance through appropriate testing, inspections, assessments, and preparation of investigative reports.
- Perform sample testing and quality assurance procedures to support compliance within the organization.
- Enhance the reputation of the engineering team by taking ownership of new requests and seeking opportunities to add value to job outcomes.
- Manage new service requests and the mobilization of engineering compliance contracts.
- Research and identify relevant regulatory and industry compliance standards and codes.
- Develop compliance strategies by researching, analyzing, selecting, and applying compliance engineering concepts, methodologies, techniques, and criteria.
Qualifications:
- Stay informed about emerging compliance engineering practices and standards through participation in educational opportunities, professional organizations, and relevant publications, sharing insights with the broader team.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment with complex products is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proven track record of achieving continuous improvement in parts or processes against defined objectives.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Excel.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Compliance Engineer.
- CompEx certification is desirable.
- City & Guilds qualifications in relevant safety courses are advantageous.
