Job Title: Senior Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our Civil Structures team in Edinburgh. This role involves working on bridges and ancillary civil structures projects, providing technical guidance and support to colleagues, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Design Engineer for bridges and ancillary civil structures projects
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues
  • Mentor junior engineers and assist in their development
  • Work on projects from conception to completion, including design, checking, and project management
  • Assess and document design changes, and communicate with project managers
  • Review projects on completion and recommend improvements to technical policy and processes
Requirements:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering
  • 5+ years relevant post-qualification structures design experience
  • Strong successful record of project delivery in structures design, including bridges and ancillary civil structures
  • Significant experience with design to Eurocodes and DMRB
  • Proficient with structural design and analysis software
  • Chartered Membership of the ICE or IStructE, or working towards chartership
  • Full UK driving licence
