Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team at Integral UK Ltd. As a critical member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building services and plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive works to building plant, equipment, and systems in accordance with agreed service levels.
  • Respond to site engineering emergencies and ensure that routine maintenance is carried out to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Issue and ensure appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems.
  • Ensure that Critical cooling water systems and any domestic systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the critical and non-critical plant.
  • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of task sheets.
  • Develop and enhance SOPs and EOPs.
  • Ensure that engineering subcontractors are appropriately escorted, comply with contractual commitments, comply with Permit to Work, and site operating processes.
  • Develop a good working relationship with all members of Integral UK Ltd staff and clients.
  • Upkeep the provision of a safe & healthy working environment and ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Provide shift cover for opposite shift members during periods of absence.
  • Attend and support annual building shutdowns when required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Critical Environments such as Banking HQ and Data Centres.
  • LV Authorised Person (A Bonus)
  • Electrical/Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or similar
  • C&G Pts. 1 & 2, equivalent or exceeds.
  • 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (Ability to attain 18 th Edition through additional training if you have 17 th Edition)
  • C&G 2391 test and inspection; BS 7671:2001 for inspection, testing and certification.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
  • Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
  • Have good IT and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.
