Liberty is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi-Trade Operative to join our growing team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in various construction trades to deliver exceptional results across diverse projects within the social housing sector.

As a Multi-Trade Operative, you'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Carpentry & Joinery: Repairing and renewing roofing trusses, soffits, fascia boards, ceiling joists, floorboards, stairs, stud walls, partition walls, and T&G or sheet flooring. You'll also handle door installations, casing, skirting, handrails, balustrades, pipe boarding, and ducting panelling.
  • Kitchen & Finishes: Repairing and renewing kitchen units, worktops, and decorative finishes.
  • Ironmongery & Windows: Installing and repairing ironmongery on doors and windows, as well as repairing and renewing timber and UPVC window frames.
  • External Works: Reglazing timber fencing and gates.
  • Multi-Trade Capabilities: Demonstrate proficiency in other construction trades such as patching, plastering, wall and floor tiling, and minor plumbing activities.

We are looking for an ideal candidate who possesses the following qualifications and experience:

  • Completed a recognized Apprenticeship and holds a relevant qualification (NVQ L2/L3).
  • Proven experience as a Multi-Trade Operative or Plumber, including installation of wet rooms and disabled adaptations.
  • Competency in all aspects of joinery and plumbing trades.
  • Plastering trade discipline (desirable).
  • Ability to perform multi-skill trades, with core expertise in either joinery or plumbing.
  • Experience working within a social housing environment (desirable).
  • Valid driving license is essential.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Asbestos awareness training.
  • Possession of own tools.
