About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Lead Practitioner to join our team at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS), you will be responsible for leading and delivering a highly specialist therapeutic service to young people and their families who require a DBT Service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver a highly specialist therapeutic service to young people and their families who require a DBT Service.
- Develop and implement service development plans to improve the quality and effectiveness of the DBT Service.
- Supervise and support a team of DBT Practitioners to ensure they are delivering high-quality care to young people and their families.
- Collaborate with other teams and services within CYPMHS to ensure seamless transitions for young people entering or leaving the DBT Service.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with other stakeholders, including families, carers, and community services.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the DBT Service is delivered in accordance with best practice and NICE guidelines.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to ensure the DBT Service is delivering high-quality care to young people and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant field, such as psychology or social work.
- Post-qualification training in DBT and experience of working with young people and their families.
- Experience of leading and managing a team of practitioners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and services.
- Knowledge of NICE guidelines and best practice in DBT.
