Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at the Ellison Institute of Technology in Oxford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the financial aspects of a project, including measurement, valuation, and agreement of work sections.
  • Prepare and manage interim applications for payment and agree certifications.
  • Draft, manage, and settle subcontracts.
  • Manage and report on monthly costs.
  • Draft and prepare claims.
  • Prepare and agree final accounts.
  • Lead and manage a team of trainee, assistant quantity surveyors, and quantity surveyors.
  • Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and other consultants to achieve project results.
  • Advise project management on contractual implications and commercial risks.
  • Prepare and manage monthly contract review reports.
  • Prepare weekly Business Plan Review (BPR) information and monthly management accounts.
  • Assist with establishing the project budget and identify and agree changes.

Requirements:

  • Autonomously delivered a small to medium project or supported a commercial manager on a larger project.
  • Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • JCT experience.
