Key Responsibilities- Support the Classroom Teacher: Collaborate with the teacher to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Lead Small Group Sessions: Provide targeted support to students who require additional help, using your expertise to tailor your approach to meet their individual needs.
- Develop Strategies for Student Engagement: Work with the teacher to identify and implement effective strategies to improve student engagement and behavior, promoting a culture of respect and responsibility.
- Assist in Planning and Preparation: Contribute to the development of learning materials, ensuring that all resources are relevant, engaging, and aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Cover Lessons: In the absence of the teacher, take on the responsibility of delivering lessons, maintaining continuity of education and ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed.
- Recognised HLTA Qualification: Possess a recognised Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong Literacy and Numeracy Skills: Demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills, including Maths and English GCSE graded 4 (or equivalent).
- Experience Working with Children: Have experience working with children in an educational setting, with a proven ability to motivate and encourage students.
- Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills: Possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of Safeguarding: Have a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
