Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Welfare and Attendance Coordinator to enhance our academy's commitment to student welfare and attendance management. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our students receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the administration of student attendance data and information.
  • Implement strategies for first-day responses and conduct home visits to boost attendance rates.
  • Support the Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) in delivering effective safeguarding and pastoral care.
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with staff, students, parents, and external agencies to create supportive plans for students and their families.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents and partners to help children reach their full potential.
  • Act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) within the academy.

Compensation: Grade F Points 14 to 19 (£27,334 to £29,777 Full Time Equivalent), with a minimum actual pro rata salary starting at £23,000.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 additional days (39 weeks), permanent position.
