About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Loan Officer to join our team at Stellar Select Limited. As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for taking new enquiries from various sources, identifying requirements, and placing them with the correct lender. You will underwrite new applications, package them with care, and present a perfectly packaged case to a lending partner.

Key Responsibilities:
New Enquiries:
  • Ensure all details are fully completed on our CRM system immediately upon receiving a new enquiry.
  • Carry out fact-finding exercises with direct customers for regulated mortgage contracts and provide advice if qualified.
  • Complete sourcing for all new enquiries and follow up with a call to the broker or client.
  • Check over terms completed by our admin team and send out necessary compliance documentation to the client or broker.
System and Documentation:
  • Keep notes up to date on all cases and ensure folders are tidy, both on paper and on our system.
  • Advising compliance of any new brokers and requesting documents.
  • Review AIPs and Offers received, checking all financial details and requirements.
  • Reviewing documents received and application packs.
Updates and Other:
  • Check case and completion updates for correct content and send to the client or broker.
  • Manage updates from all parties and inform those who require them.
  • Keep lender criteria spreadsheet and lender product guides/forms up to date in files.
  • Maintain a high level of service for all introducers and their clients.
  • Offer the best advice to all clients for their borrowing needs.
  • Maintain compliant files and answer calls, taking new enquiries from brokers in line with our SLAs.
Requirements:
  • Upbeat telephone manner and understanding of the source of an introduction.
  • Knowledge of lender and product criteria and ability to manage own diary, meet deadlines, and meet targets set.
  • GCSE Maths and English essential and CeMAP required for handling regulated mortgage contracts.
  • Experience gained in a similar position and experience in 2nd charge mortgages is essential.
