About the Organization
A new opportunity has arisen for a proficient Insurance Underwriting Lead within a global insurance consultancy. This organization specializes in crafting digital solutions that merge their data and analytical prowess to provide award-winning services to clients around the globe.
As part of a dynamic team, you will spearhead the implementation of technical solutions across underwriting and claims. This role focuses on enhancing underwriting technology and optimizing the application of technology and data throughout the process. Collaboration with the Head of Data & Analytics, CTO, and Chief Underwriter will be essential. We seek an individual with a robust emphasis on technology and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced data analytical capabilities to ensure a continuous cycle of optimization, innovation, and enhancement of underwriting protocols and processes.
- Provide specialized underwriting and claims knowledge to facilitate and refine each solution deployment.
- Ensure configurations align with both client and organizational risk appetites, optimize straight-through processing (STP), and apply behavioral science techniques for optimal disclosure.
- Design and maintain underwriting and claims rule sets for new system rollouts.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and regional market teams through expert data analysis.
- Oversee project management with a solid understanding of project management methodologies.
- Support initiatives for new business development.
- Acquire a comprehensive understanding of underwriting and claims practices in local European markets.
Qualifications
- Technological proficiency within an underwriting context.
- Ability to leverage data and analytics, focusing on aspects such as conversion rates and risk assessment, as well as dashboard utilization.
- Passion for predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, and enhancing underwriting technology.
- Experience in automated underwriting and claims with a focus on logic and algorithm configuration.
- Proficiency in French or Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory.
