The Team

We are seeking a Technical Analyst to join our support function for our flagship product FlexTRADER, a highly customizable multi-asset class execution management system used by top asset managers and hedge funds. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in dealing with high-profile contacts and cutting-edge technology in the financial services industry.

About the Role

This position operates on a flexible shift pattern:

Monday - Thursday: 09:00 - 18:00 (including 1 hour lunch break)
Friday: 09:00 - 13:00
Sunday: 08:30 - 12:30 GMT (09:30 - 13:30 BST)

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to FlexTrade clients globally and advising on questions and queries.
  • Liaising with clients to interpret queries for root cause analysis and proposing appropriate workarounds and solutions.
  • Contributing to enhancing the alerting mechanisms used for production support and being responsible for enhancing the monitoring coverage.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  • Developing and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A 2:1 Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a numerate subject (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics).
  • Technical knowledge and prior exposure to Linux and Shell-scripting.
  • Experience in a coding language (such as C++, Java, or Python).
  • A desire to learn both the business and technical aspects of the financial capital markets in which FlexTrade operates.
