Our research capabilities encompass all facets of public policy, with a client roster that includes various UK government agencies, both central and devolved, alongside universities and financial institutions in Northern Ireland. This extensive experience allows analysts to engage in a variety of research projects across diverse policy domains, including education, social cohesion, community development, energy, innovation, health, and broader societal issues.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking motivated graduates who are eager to contribute to our expanding evaluation and consulting services across multiple policy areas. Successful candidates will assist in project delivery and report to the project manager while playing a role in enhancing our methodologies and overall strategic thinking.

  • Analyzing policy and program designs along with their expected outcomes;
  • Conducting literature reviews and analyzing socioeconomic data to contextualize policy implementation;
  • Assisting in the creation of research instruments (e.g., questionnaires, topic guides);
  • Coordinating and facilitating in-depth interviews;
  • Analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data from various research initiatives;
  • Contributing to the preparation of clear and concise reports on findings;
  • Supporting the development of research proposals to secure new contracts;
  • Participating in client meetings and contributing to written reports and presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • A keen interest in understanding various aspects of public policy;
  • A commitment to building a career in research and consulting with a commercial mindset;
  • A genuine passion for social research and a desire to grow within a leading research organization;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including proficiency in MS Excel;
  • Experience with quantitative research methodologies, including study design, data collection, and analysis;
  • Familiarity with qualitative research techniques;
  • Capability to manage and analyze large datasets while ensuring data integrity;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences, both in writing and verbally;
  • Experience or a demonstrated interest in learning statistical software such as SPSS, Stata, SAS, or R;
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in designing and conducting surveys, interviews, or focus groups;
  • Understanding of statistical methods;
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques;
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
