Job Description

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Solihull and East Birmingham

Job Type: Temporary

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and reliable cover supervisor to work across a range of schools in Solihull and East Birmingham. As a cover supervisor, you will be responsible for following lesson plans accurately and delivering lessons to a range of age groups across various subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons to a range of age groups across various subjects
  • Marking responsibility may be included and ability to feedback appropriately to staff members is essential
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and ensure pupils stay on task and complete work set by class teacher
  • Familiarise yourself with schools policies/procedures and ensure you are aware on how to escalate issues and who to contact
  • Ensure safeguarding is at the centre of all your practices

Requirements:

  • Experience working within a school environment (you do not need to hold a QTS or teaching qualification for this role)
  • A passion for education and an interest in secondary curriculum
  • To show an understanding and compassionate nature
  • Strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills (essential)
