Position Overview:
We are looking for a committed and skilled Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to become a part of our innovative team.

Salary: £46,224 - £53,789 based on experience per annum

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will deliver specialized speech and language therapy services, concentrating on adult neurology and acquired brain injury (ABI) cases.

  • Oversee intricate dysphagia cases within an adult neurology caseload.
  • Design and execute therapy models and interventions, including strategies for social and cognitive communication.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality enhancement projects, and service development initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and perform risk assessments.

Qualifications:
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • A minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to working with adults with neurological conditions.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices and speech and language therapy outcome measures.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and therapy-specific software.
  • A valid UK Driving Licence and readiness to travel as necessary.

Desirable Attributes:
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area (e.g., Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)).

  • Experience in community environments and managing challenging behaviors.
  • Background in cognitive rehabilitation and conflict management.
  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, and research methodologies.
