About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Modeller to join our team at esure Group. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for leading the enhancement of our Financial Planning models in Anaplan, driving business growth and improvement through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting: Collaborate with the Head of FP&A and Commercial team to develop and maintain accurate and reliable financial models, ensuring timely and informed business decisions.
  • Model Optimization: Optimize processes for usability, efficiency, adaptability, and robustness of the Anaplan model, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive business value.
  • Forecasting Enhancements: Identify and prioritize forecasting enhancements to meet business and regulatory needs, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective implementation.
  • Change Management: Work from a requirements' backlog with minimal direction, ensuring strong change control and effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Business Alignment: Collaborate with Business teams to align financial models with business assumptions, ensuring that financial planning and forecasting are integrated with business objectives.
  • Training and Support: Train, support, and develop model users, sharing best practices and providing task coverage to ensure seamless model adoption.
  • Risk Management: Support the Finance Team to mitigate risks from single points of failure, ensuring that financial models are robust and reliable.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant with insurance/financial services experience, preferably with Big 4 experience.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive Anaplan financial modelling experience, with proficiency in data structuring and experience with Tableau and Databricks beneficial.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communicator, capable of explaining sophisticated topics to all partners, with high organizational skills and ability to work across teams and environments.
