Job Title: Short Breaks Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Short Breaks Manager to lead our respite care program, providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Short Breaks program, ensuring safe, compliant, and enriching experiences for children and young people with SEND. This will involve developing and implementing a Strategic Development Plan, managing staff recruitment, training, and performance, and overseeing the planning and delivery of activities that promote equality and meet regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Short Breaks program, ensuring safe and compliant experiences for children and young people with SEND
  • Develop and implement a Strategic Development Plan for Short Breaks, including budget management and staff performance
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance to maintain high standards of care and service delivery
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of activities that promote equality and meet regulatory standards
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted registration and other relevant regulations
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care or similar
  • Experience in managing services for children and young people with SEND
  • Strong leadership and management skills, particularly in a care or educational setting
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
