Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Short Breaks program, providing critical support to families of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan to enhance the quality of life for these children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Short Breaks program, ensuring safe, compliant, and enriching experiences for children and young people with SEND.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing both safeguarding and administrative staff.
  • Develop and implement a Strategic Development Plan for Short Breaks, including budget management and staff performance.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of activities that promote equality and meet regulatory standards.
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance to maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted registration and other relevant regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with families, schools, and external agencies.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing services for children and young people with SEND.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, particularly in a care or educational setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Team Teach training or willingness to undergo training.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to drive the minibus as needed.
