As a Matron (Director of Nursing) at our Glasgow Hospital, you'll have a strong track record in leading and developing nursing practice. You'll be able to stabilise and re-engage teams, driving the standards of care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the clinical challenges facing our hospital and build excellent relationships with internal customers and external bodies
  • Ensure safe and effective care through a range of surgical and medical interventions
  • Deliver effective operational management and inspirational leadership
  • Be a role model for excellent clinical governance, providing strategy and direction for our hospital
  • Champion improvements to clinical standards, care, and service across wards, theatres, outpatients, pharmacy, radiology, imaging, cardiology, and pathology
  • Be approachable and accessible to patients, relatives, and colleagues
