About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Tutor to join our team at Fleet Education Services. As a Maths Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners who require dedicated, in-person support to enable their academic success.

Our learners are situated throughout Berkshire, particularly in Reading, Slough, and Wokingham, and will require your expertise in supporting KS3-KS4 Maths on a 1:1 or small group basis. You will provide in-person, daytime tuition to learners who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations.

Your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving the self-confidence and subject knowledge of your learner, ultimately re-engaging them with education and providing a positive learning outcome.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create lesson plans and deliver tuition that is designed to engage, inspire, and teach.
  • Monitor your learner's progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with your learner's guardians/teachers to ensure their academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
