About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths, English, or Science Tutor to join our team at Fleet Education Services. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with complex needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Childhood Trauma.

Our learners require dedicated, in-person support to enable their academic success. As a Tutor, you will provide tailored tuition to learners in their own homes or schools, delivering 1:1 or small group sessions. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving the self-confidence and subject knowledge of your learner, ultimately re-engaging them with education and providing a positive learning outcome.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging lesson plans and deliver tuition that inspires and teaches.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with learner guardians/teachers to ensure academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
