Role Overview

Position: Support Worker - Specializing in Autism and Learning Disabilities

  • Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
  • Compensation: £12.00 per hour, along with additional benefits, including a paid induction and an extra £1200 annually based on two overnight shifts per month. Overtime compensation is available for hours exceeding 37.5 per week.
  • Work Schedule: 37.5 hours weekly, with shifts scheduled from Monday to Sunday.
  • Shift Times: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are in search of Support Workers who exhibit calmness, patience, and resilience. A driving license is essential, and a consistent approach to helping individuals engage in their interests is crucial.

As a Support Worker, you will collaborate with a dedicated team within a dynamic service environment where each day presents new challenges and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily tasks, including meal preparation, light cleaning, medication administration (post-training), and grocery shopping.
  • Support individuals in offsite activities such as swimming, cinema visits, and holidays, helping them lead fulfilling lives.
  • Safeguard and promote the well-being of those in your care.
  • Help individuals set and achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
  • Ensure that individuals and their families are treated with respect, dignity, and equality.
  • Adhere to SeeAbility's core values.

We are looking for someone committed to working 37.5 hours per week, with a willingness to follow a shift rota that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.

You will work closely with the registered manager, deputy manager, and senior staff to ensure the delivery of exceptional person-centered care, aligning with our vision of inclusive communities where individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities can thrive as equal citizens.

As a Support Worker, you will benefit from the guidance of a positive behavior support consultant and receive day-to-day management from an experienced leader, fostering your development and interactions that empower individuals to create connections, friendships, and pursue their interests.
