Job Title: Class 1 Casual Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Casual Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Casual Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers. This will include cage tail lift deliveries and collecting multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering goods to retail stores on curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers.
  • Collecting multiple containers from port for delivery to distribution centre.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
