About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lactation Consultant to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our community care team, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert breastfeeding support and guidance to new mothers and their families
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective infant feeding plans
  • Conduct home visits and provide support to families in their own homes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare teams to ensure seamless care and support for patients
  • Develop and deliver training programs for healthcare professionals on infant feeding and lactation
Requirements
  • Registered Lactation Consultant with the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC)
  • Health or health science degree and evidence of relevant postgraduate development
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in infant feeding and lactation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
