Venus Wine & Drinks Merchant, a leading food and drink wholesaler, is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive an 18T Rigid Vehicle: Safely operate an 18-ton rigid vehicle, managing diverse delivery routes across Greater London and occasionally beyond.
  • Complete Delivery Routes: Efficiently navigate routes with up to 15 stops, with potential for additional stops during peak periods.
  • Ensure Vehicle Safety: Conduct thorough 15-minute vehicle safety checks before driving and record the results.
  • Provide Professional Customer Service: Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner while ensuring their deliveries are completed and checked to their satisfaction.
  • Assist with Deliveries: Collaborate with a driver's mate to handle deliveries effectively, using the provided electric pump truck and tail-lift.
Requirements
  • UK Class 2 Licence: Hold a valid UK Class 2 licence with no more than 6 points (clean licence preferred).
  • Digital Tacho Card: Possess a digital tacho card for accurate tracking of driving hours.
  • In-Date CPC Card: Hold an up-to-date CPC card with 7 hours of training per year.
  • Understanding of Tacho Regulations: Knowledgeable in EU/Domestic tacho regulations regarding working hours, breaks, and driving time.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers.
  • Experience in Central London: Previous experience navigating delivery routes in Central London.
  • Tail-Lift and Electric Pump Truck Operation: Skilled in operating these tools to streamline deliveries.
  • Parking and Time Management: Understanding of parking rules and excellent time management abilities.
