Position Overview: Activities Coordinator
As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. Your creativity and organizational skills will be essential in delivering a variety of programs that cater to the interests and needs of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging morning and afternoon activity sessions tailored to the preferences of our residents, including musical performances, outings, exercise classes, and arts and crafts.
- Develop and maintain an activity schedule, ensuring it aligns with the allocated budget for activities.
- Encourage resident participation in activities, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Organize special celebrations and surprises for residents' birthdays.
- Ensure all logistics are in place for planned activities, including events and outings.
- Collaborate with local community groups and performers to enrich the activity offerings.
- Assist with meal service during breakfast, lunch, and dinner as needed.
- Conduct one-on-one sessions with residents, utilizing tools for reminiscence, puzzles, reading, or simply enjoying a conversation.
- Maintain accurate records, including care plans and activity documentation.
- Support the home’s online presence through social media engagement as required.
