About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sonographer to join our team at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing expert care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynaecological, and general ultrasound scans
  • Generate high-quality diagnostic reports and communicate findings to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Liaise with other departments and professionals within the Trust to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in the BMUS recommended Peer audit review process to maintain high standards of practice
  • Supervise and mentor ultrasound students and newly qualified staff
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in ultrasound technology and best practices

Requirements
  • Current registration with a statutory regulator
  • DCR or Degree in Radiography
  • PGD in ultrasound or equivalent
  • Obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
