Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Apprentice Production Engineer to join our team at our flagship site in the Meals Solutions division. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing a high level of engineering service to minimize downtime and ensure the smooth running of factory production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure the smooth running of factory production.
  • Undertake planned maintenance work to improve equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Work on various projects, such as commissioning new equipment and upgrading existing machinery.
  • Proactively look for new and improved ways of working to drive performance and reliability.
  • Work a shift pattern of 7 days out of 14, with 12-hour shifts.

About You

  • You will be an apprentice training Maintenance Engineer, with either an electrical or mechanical bias.
  • You will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices, and be able to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • You will be a team player, able to work collaboratively and make a positive contribution to the wider team.
  • You will have strong interpersonal skills, able to develop good working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the business.
