Role Overview:
Our client, a prominent player in the packaging industry, is seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to oversee the maintenance of all electrical systems, machinery, auxiliary instruments, and gauges. The primary goal is to ensure minimal disruption to production while adhering to safety regulations within a cutting-edge manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical Maintenance:
    Conduct and document maintenance activities on machinery and equipment, ensuring adherence to electrical safety standards. Follow planned maintenance schedules and update electrical programs to maintain current information. Engage in research for the development and implementation of both new and existing equipment. Execute statutory inspections and safety checks as per the established schedule. Provide adaptable support across various manufacturing sectors, ensuring safety and training protocols are followed. Maintain a thorough understanding of electrical safety regulations and ensure compliance. Utilize logical troubleshooting methods to assess circuits, referencing electrical schematics and employing testing equipment. Repair spare parts, including those necessary for the manufacturing process.
  • Installation and Modification:
    Oversee the installation or commissioning of new equipment in collaboration with project teams, external contractors, and suppliers. Design and create circuit diagrams using CAD software; develop relevant PLC programs. Implement hardware modifications to production lines, which may involve mechanical containment, conduits, sensors, relays, PLCs, and logic systems.
  • Performance Analysis:
    Evaluate production line performance concerning speed, temperature, and product flow, updating PLC programs to optimize efficiency. Document all modifications in online logbooks, electronic records, and modification sheets.

Qualifications:
Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering with an electrical focus. Proficiency in basic programming and troubleshooting techniques.
