Marine Electrical Systems Engineer

Virtual Human Resources is seeking talented Marine Electrical Systems Engineers with a robust background in the marine sector. Our client is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and dependability. As they expand their operations, they are looking for proficient and experienced engineers to become part of their innovative team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on a variety of marine vessels.
  • Conduct thorough testing of electrical circuits, identifying faults and implementing effective solutions.
  • Install air conditioning systems as necessary.
  • Manage the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing fit-out of diverse water systems during boat assembly, including through-hull fittings.
  • Perform basic tasks such as cutting, drilling, preparing, and installing various equipment.
  • Facilitate the installation of water tanks and fuel/water filters, as well as dockside discharge fittings.
  • Execute all critical checks and finalize boat files for compliance.
  • Handle 12/24V DC electrical wiring, diagrams, circuits, and the installation of all components.
  • Utilize a multimeter for testing 12V, 24V, 240V, and 110V systems, including continuity testing and cable identification.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in the electrical engineering field.
  • Prior experience as an Electrical Engineer within the marine industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of marine electrical systems and safety regulations.
