Role Overview

We are in search of a skilled professional to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to provide corporate finance consultancy, including lead advisory, fundraising, and strategic insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan projects and ensure timely progression, anticipating subsequent steps and effectively communicating plans to management. This involves maintaining lists of outstanding issues and taking ownership of their resolution.
  • Analyze and synthesize data for senior management, including financial and sector-specific information.
  • Cultivate relationships with Oaklins, internal team members at Evelyn Partners, and external parties such as private equity firms to develop a robust network.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute assigned project tasks and exceed client expectations.
  • Develop and review financial models, and prepare comprehensive reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and support of presentations delivered by senior colleagues in Corporate Finance.
  • Engage directly with clients, managing the data-gathering process efficiently.
  • Draft key documents (such as Information Memoranda, confidentiality agreements, buyer research lists, and sector analyses) and maintain ownership of successive drafts.
  • Assume full responsibility for all delegated or assigned tasks.
  • Keep the team leader and manager informed of progress and status on assigned work.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and client needs, assisting in the development of appropriate responses within the team.
  • Discuss personal training and development needs with the Team Manager, establishing plans to address them.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • Familiarity with Companies Acts, Financial Reporting Standards, and M&A Best Practices.
  • Proficiency in sourcing research information, including Capital IQ and Merger Market.
  • A foundational understanding of deal structures and associated commercial and technical considerations.
  • Financial Modeling skills, with a clear grasp of financial models and their implications.
  • The ability to apply financial principles effectively within financial models.
  • Competence in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
  • Strong report writing skills, capable of drafting documents for review.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Confidence and enthusiasm in interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to fulfilling responsibilities within established deadlines.
  • The ability to cultivate a personal professional network.
