Job Summary

Quarriers is seeking a skilled Transition Mentor to join our team in Glasgow. As a Transition Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16-25 to develop their independent living skills and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities and provide support to young people to help them develop their independent living skills
  • Evidence the outcomes achieved and provide regular progress reports
  • Work closely with young people to explore opportunities for employment, education, and community integration
  • Provide advice and support to ensure young people feel safe and heard
  • Participate in a rolling 7-week rota, including early, day, late, and sleepover shifts

Requirements

  • Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to build trusting, long-lasting relationships with young people
  • Empathy and excellent communication skills
  • Excellent team player with the ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals
  • Essential to have a driving license
