Family Solicitor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Solicitor to join our team at CV-Library. As a Family Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of privately funded family matters, including divorce and finances, civil partnerships, separation, cohabitation, and pre-nuptial agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing a caseload of family law matters, including divorce and finances, civil partnerships, separation, cohabitation, and pre-nuptial agreements.
  • Providing professional, timely, and pertinent legal advice to clients, with regular contact and effective communication.
  • Ensuring proper control of work in progress, billing, and cash collection.
  • Drafting and preparation of documents.
  • Networking and business development.
  • Undertaking self-development and complying with relevant training requirements.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive.
  • 4 years PQE.
  • Experience of handling a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, children, mediation, financial matters, collaborative law, and domestic violence.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Proven IT skills and ability to adapt new technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral and written presentation skills.
  • The ability to provide a high level of client care.
Desirable Skills:
  • Advocacy experience.
  • Member of Resolution.
  • Experience in Legal Aid work.
  • Experience in Wills and Probate.
  • Proficient with Proclaim Case Management.

  • Self-motivation to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • A positive approach to working under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Methodical approach to tasks and problem-solving.
