This role involves overseeing various projects and may require travel to multiple sites in the London area, including locations beyond the M25.

As part of a dedicated team specializing in M&E aspects, you will address client concerns, investigate issues (including reviewing contracts, drawings, and conducting site visits), and liaise with various stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include sourcing new contractors, managing tenders, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations, and coordinating multiple trades on-site. You will work on live and occupied buildings, striving to achieve results that protect the company and minimize costs. Your insights may also contribute to the stage 3 RIBA process, influencing future projects.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction site/FM within the MEP discipline
  • Demonstrated Electrical/Mechanical expertise
  • Knowledge of BMS systems
  • Experience in commissioning
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, supporting project managers and various departments as needed
  • ONC/HNC or a degree in an engineering discipline or a relevant vocational qualification

Job Purpose and Scope:

Your role will involve determining whether reported defects stem from construction or design issues, reviewing project archives, and conducting site inspections/surveys. You will collaborate with production teams to fully understand the original design intent and oversee all necessary rectification activities from design through to completion, working closely with client teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the organization's commitment to Getting It Right First Time
  • Reviewing and approving documentation for transfer to the Post Completion Department
  • Conducting thorough As-Built design assessments
  • Ensuring pre-handover meetings are organized with site teams, emphasizing the importance of submitted documentation
  • Evaluating the performance of the Production Team and Sub-Contractors
  • Managing contractual matters and Warranty Management during DLP/LDP
  • Investigating the causes and remedies for defects reported through official channels
  • Procurement and management of Sub-Contractors
  • Overseeing Health & Safety on-site, reviewing RAMS, and identifying additional support for high-risk activities
  • Preparing purchase orders, work orders, and related documentation in collaboration with the PCD Quantity Surveyor
  • Monitoring and reporting on work programme status, costs, and subcontractor performance
  • Ensuring quality across all PCD works
  • Providing feedback to Quality and Production Departments to prevent future defects
  • Compiling Final Accounts for all Sub-Contract Works
  • Issuing Quality Alerts and Bulletins regarding investigated issues, including causes, corrections, and lessons learned
